Synopsis

WE ARE...ROBIN! PART 1 Duke Thomas finds himself caught in a fight with an ex's brothers. The fight comes to an end as Duke is hit in the head with a chain and the police arrive, apprehending both Duke and his assailant, but not before a hooded girl takes a photograph on her smart-phone.   Duke wakes up in the office of Dr. Leslie Thompkins who organizes his a new foster family but warns him about his growing file and the premise of juvie. His new foster family is squalid and he immediately feels out of place and escapes into a back alley and down into the subway. Below ground he encounters a hoard of people assembled around a man preaching how they will rise up and make the above-grounders pay for their dismissive attitudes toward the homeless. Duke, however, is quickly discovered and the army is set upon him causing a band of youths dressed like Robin to jump to his defense.   Behind the scenes, a man observes his team from The Nest and remarks upon how the grey city should be a place of color.
